The pellet plant at the Eden woodchip mill, approved by the Bega Valley Shire Council on 12th June 2011 opens the door to industrial energy production from native forests at a time when they could be providing the quickest and cheapest means of combating climate change.
As one of the 7 Councillors who voted to establish the pellet plant, I would appreciate knowing the reasons why you chose to vote in favour of this project.
The debate took only a few minutes and none of the Councillors who voted in support of it spoke in the debate or made any other statement outlining the reasons for their decision.
This project has national and regional importance and I believe you owe it to the community to explain your reasons for voting as you did.
I look forward to hearing from you.
